Sometimes the concreteness of sensations makes perceived reality appear more artificial than our own attempts to recreate it. It is these meta-perceptions that can help us to understand our relationship with the physical universe, not by bringing us closer to it but by creating an equidistance and thus allowing for the briefest of moments to see how disconnected we are from any real insight.
